On May 19, 2004, Dr. Hofmann, Baris, Michael, and Julie went to Christ the King School in Norfolk, VA to participate in the first annual Oceanography Day. Students in grades K-8 attended the program and presented work they had done focusing on marine life and studies of the oceans. After Dr. Hofmann gave a presentation on her research in Antarctica, students browsed the various displays.
