Pictures from the Seal Team (~30 August 2002)

The first is of a crabeater seal that visited the rear of the ship while we were carrying out a CTD cast.

The other shows what it looks like outside when it is blowing 50 knots.  Fortunately, the ice keeps the ship rather stable and it doesn't feel very different inside the ship.  However, go outside and it's a totally different experience.
