How to recover a deleted file
To request that a file(s) be restored use the recover command. If you
created and removed the files on the same day the chances of restoring your files are
very very slim since backups are done at midnight. The following is an example of
how to use the recover command:
When submitting a restore request, the following will be required:
1. The directory path to where the file(s) were. To get this
infomation, "cd" to where the file(s) were and use the command
"pwd" to find your path.
3. Your best estimate at when the file(s) were created.
4. When these file(s) were last modified.
5. When the file(s) were deleted.
6. The exact name of the file(s).
************ USE CONTROL-C TO ABORT PROGRAM *************
Enter directory path name of where the file(s) were.
EXAMPLE: /home/gener_x/classes/cs999/
Directory: /home/boyd/projectA
Enter the name of file, one per line ending with a . on a single line.
file: all .f files
file: Makefile
file: all .h files
file: .
When did you first create the file(s): 1/25/94
When did you last modify, date & time (if possible), the file(s): 5/17/94
*** NOTE: If the deletion date and the creation date are on the same
*** day, the chances of recovering your file are very slim.
When did you delete, date & time (if possible), the file(s): 5/18/94

You will be notified via email when your restore has been completed.
