What are TeX and LaTeX?

TeX and LaTeX are document processing systems designed to make professional looking documents. TeX and LaTeX are used extensively by scientific journals. LaTeX is a simplified version of TeX by Leslie Lamport. TeX was written by Donald Knuth.

How to Use

To access TeX use following command:

tex filename.tex

To access LaTeX use following command:

latex filename.tex
