`distance` calculate the distance between two locations
`reckon` calculate a location some distance and direction from a location
`deg2nm` convert arc length on the earth (degrees) to nautical miles
`worldmap` display a map of some sector of the world
`usamap` display a map of some sector of the USA
`plotm` plot a line on a map
`framem` draw a frame around a map
`textm` plot text on a map
`geoshow` display information in a GIS shape file
`axesm` create axes and a map projection for a plot
`mlabel` display meridian (longitude) labels
`plabel` display parallel (latitude) labels.
`setm` set map properties
`satbath` extract elevation information from etopo2
`tbase` extract elevation information from etopo5
