The 2nd IWMO meeting was held at Old Dominion University (ODU) in Norfolk, Virginia. Norfolk is located on the Chesapeake Bay near the Atlantic coast and is home to the world’s largest naval base, an international seaport and various centers for maritime and marine sciences.

The workshop seeks presentations on all aspects of ocean modeling, analysis and prediction, with emphasis on interdisciplinary coastal-regional studies as well as new model developments (note: the IWMO evolved from the POM users group meetings, but is open to the ocean modeling community at large).

Outstanding Young Scientist Award: First authors presenters who are graduate students or postdocs not more than 2 years past their graduation are eligible to participate in this competition (congratulations to 2010 Winners).
